You never press attack in Nightbeat. On every beat a ring leaves the spot where you stand and grows outward, and anything touching a ring when the next beat lands takes the hit. The whole game is where you stand between beats.

Move on the beat and you are slow. Move on the off-beat and you dash, briefly out of reach. Those two rhythms pull against each other, and that pull is the feel of it.

The waves are read from the song. Quiet stretches send drifters, rising parts bring rushers and orbiters, and the loudest section is the drop, where a boss waits. Between sections you pick one of three upgrades while the bar loops. Clear a drop and choose: bank your score, or take an encore for double points on a tighter beat. Encores stack.

Twelve full tracks ship with the game, each with its own beat grid and structure. There is a daily track with a fixed seed, a night of five tracks in a row, three characters with different timing windows, a calibration screen, and a share card that names the track you died to.

Keyboard and mouse, gamepad optional. Free, pay what you want.

The music is generated with ACE-Step from original prompts and is disclosed as AI-generated sound.
