Marble Workshop Deluxe

A quiet sandbox about making marbles move. You get a lift, a 40 by 22 cell bench and a tray of seventeen parts, from spirals and wheels to launchers, bowls and sorters. Snap them together and press Space. Nothing is timed, and a marble that drops off the bench comes back through the hopper.

Materials matter. Glass is light and quick. Steel keeps its speed and falls through a sorter. Wood barely bounces. Ice slides on flat rails, melts after a while and turns up again at the lift. Each has its own clink, and a bell rings higher the higher you hang it.

When a machine works, open Code. It becomes one line of text, theme, materials and a checksum included. Sorting Yard is MW-4K34-C8VA-5VG9-1H93-EX49-8JSJ-MK97-E07M-YM. Paste a friend's code and their machine lands on your bench. A typo is caught before it loads.

Twelve optional challenge cards count on machines you build yourself and unlock wood, ice and three more rooms: a night garage, a studio cut from card, and an observatory with slow stars. Screensaver mode hides the interface and plays your gallery while the lamp dims.

The free browser demo stops at six modules and does not save. The Windows download has the whole workshop (Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit).

Controls: left click or drag places a part, right click erases, the wheel zooms, middle drag or Space and drag pans, R flips a part, Space runs or pauses, Esc opens the menu.
